Duties Assist in preparing ingredients and assembling dishes according to established recipes and menu plans Support food preparation activities, including chopping, slicing, mixing, and portioning ingredients with precision and care Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards at all times Handle food products safely during storage, handling, and transportation to prevent contamination Help with cooking tasks under supervision, ensuring timely meal service during busy periods Support catering events by preparing and serving food items efficiently and professionally Follow proper food handling procedures and adhere to health regulations to ensure a safe dining environment Skills Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable Strong knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and food service operations Proficiency in food handling, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety protocols Excellent knife skills for efficient ingredient preparation Experience in the food industry or restaurant settings demonstrating ability to work quickly and accurately Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation practices Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining attention to detail during meal prep and service Spanish speaking is highly desirable.
