Job Summary:
The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food to order during audit events, team lodging, and field office setups. This role involves following recipes, maintaining kitchen organization, ensuring food quality and presentation, and working collaboratively with kitchen staff to deliver meals on time and to company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes, ensuring consistent quality and presentation Operate cooking equipment such as grills, ovens, fryers, and stovetops, ensuring they are maintained and used safely Assist in food preparation activities such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients for meal service Ensure proper food storage and handling to meet health and safety standards, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment Maintain a clean and sanitary work station, including following all health and safety regulations Assist in plating and presenting food according to the restaurant's or event's standards Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, coordinating with other kitchen staff to meet event or meal timing requirements Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and notifying the Lead Cook or Kitchen Manager of any shortages Follow all food safety guidelines and ensure that all meals are served at the correct temperature Assist with cleaning kitchen tools, utensils, and surfaces during and after meal service
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a commercial kitchen Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen equipment operation Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with kitchen staff and management Ability to follow recipes and instructions with precision and attention to detail Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and bending Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, based on event schedules Why Join Us?
