Job Description

KITCHEN STEWARD HOURLY POSITION
$15.15/HR Must be flexible to work swing/overnight shifts including weekends and holidays
PURPOSE :
Under the direction of Executive Chef, the Kitchen Steward is responsible for washing, sanitizing, organizing, replenishment of all dishes, utensils, equipment and deep cleaning food storage areas, floors, food preparation and dining room areas.
SUPERVISORY SCOPE
: This position directly supervises: Position None
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
: Responsible for proper care and use of dish machine, set-up, changing water, draining and cleaning during and at the end of shift. Responsible for washing all pots, pans, kitchen utensils, plates, glasses, flatware, service ware and miscellaneous items. Cleans floor, walls, wash tubs, and shelves; clean mop sink area. Responsible for keeping work area clean at all times. Empty garbage cans, remove any boxes from kitchen and keep back dock and dumpster area clean. Responsible for storage of all cleaning supplies and equipment (i.e. mops, buckets, soap, bleach, etc.). Stocks serving stations with clean dishes and utensils. Responsible for sanitizing all areas following health/food safety regulations and codes. Performs deep cleaning of kitchen and dining room area under the supervision of the Lead Cook assigned to this area. Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
:
Education and Experience :
High School Diploma/GED required or combination of education and work experience.
Skills and Abilities :
Demonstrate ability to establish rapport and effectively relate to Guests and Team Members.
PREFERRED
Education and Experience :
Minimum 1-year experience as Dishwasher/Kitchen and Restaurant Cleaner in restaurant with high volume.
REQUIRED TRAINING
: New Team Member Orientation Team Member Policy Handbook Department Policy Handbook Guest Service Standards Any position related training deemed necessary by Department Manager
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
: Must possess sensitivity to the Native American culture. Must be a minimum of 18 years of age. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License. Must comply with all Naskila Casino Policies. Must successfully complete an Introductory Period. Must be able to communicate and interact with Guests, fellow Team Members, and Management in a professional and courteous manner. Must follow all Safety Rules and Regulations. Must adhere to Dress Code and Appearance Policies. Must maintain and wear uniform provided by Naskila Casino, if applicable. Practice good personal hygiene. Must be willing to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays as deemed necessary by the Department Manager.
