Duties Take customer orders accurately using Toast systems, ensuring quick and friendly service. Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards, maintaining high quality and sanitation. Assist with food handling tasks such as cooking, assembling meals, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area. Process cash and card transactions efficiently while handling cashing out and cash handling responsibilities responsibly. Upsell menu items to enhance sales and improve customer satisfaction by recommending popular or new products. Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, sanitizing workstations, and ensuring food safety standards are met at all times. Support food industry best practices including sanitation, proper food storage, and adhering to health regulations. Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and addressing any concerns promptly. Assist with food preparation during peak hours to ensure quick service in our fast-food or quick-service restaurant environment. Support team members with basic math for order totals, retail math for inventory checks, and other operational tasks as needed. Experience Previous experience in food service or a quick-service restaurant is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key! Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast is a plus but training will be provided. Experience in food handling, cashiering, serving, or bussing enhances your ability to succeed in this role. Basic math skills are essential for accurate cash handling and order processing. Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices is beneficial for maintaining a safe environment. Experience working in retail or grocery stores can provide valuable skills applicable to this position. Strong time management skills will help you stay organized during busy shifts while delivering excellent customer service.
