Kitchen Assistant - Island Riddim Jerk & BBQ Grill (Round Rock, TX) Island Riddim Jerk & BBQ Grill is a vibrant Caribbean/Jamaincan restaurant in Round Rock. We're looking for a reliable, hardworking Kitchen Assistant to support our chefs and keep our kitchen running smoothly. Position Overview The Kitchen Assistant plays a key role behind the scenes — helping with food prep, organization, and cleanliness so our chefs can focus on creating great food. This is an excellent entry-level position for someone interested in learning the restaurant business. Key Responsibilities Wash, peel, chop, and portion ingredients for Caribbean/Jamaican and BBQ dishes. Assist chefs with basic food prep and simple cooking tasks as directed. Clean and sanitize workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment. Receive and store deliveries properly. Keep the kitchen organized, stocked, and running smoothly. Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times. Qualifications Previous kitchen experience a plus, but not required — we're happy to train motivated candidates. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and teamwork. Willingness to learn and take direction. Why Join Island Riddim?
