Pizza Kitchen Team Member - Part Time

Southern Roots Brewing Company, a microbrewery and pizza restaurant in downtown Waco, is looking to hire part-time (15-25 hours a week) pizza kitchen team members.

Job Description:

Southern Roots Brewing Company kitchen team members support all kitchen and dining area operations. Their responsibilities include food preparation, production of all food products, maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas, maintaining cleanliness of kitchen equipment, dishwashing, loss prevention, food waste control, quality control, enforcement of all health codes, and providing excellent customer service. Through coordination with other team members, and lending support to all kitchen and dining area operations, we deliver an experience and a product to our customers that will be exceptional. Current Food Handlers Certificate required within 30 days of hire. TABC license suggested but not required. Southern Roots Brewing Company is a family-owned, woman-owned, veteran-owned small business that opened in October 2019. Since our opening we have grown each year, and have opened a second location in Waxahachie, Texas, with more plans on the way. There is ample opportunity for growth within the company. For example:

our general manager began as a part-time bartender, our assistant brewer began as an as-needed part-time bartender, and our kitchen manager began as a part-time kitchen team member. We are open 7 days a week. Opening hours are 11:30am-10pm, Monday through Thursday, 11:30am-11pm, Friday-Saturday, and 12pm-8pm Sundays. Typical shift times for kitchen team members are 11:00am-5pm, 11:30-8:15pm, 4/5/6pm-10:30pm, and 5/6pm-10pm. Team members are paid weekly, and we offer competitive compensation beginning at $12/hr, plus tip share. The tip share usually bumps hourly pay to around $14/hr. We offer flexible scheduling for someone looking for a part-time or supplemental income job. Weekend availability (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) is a must, as those are our busiest days. Daytime availability is also a plus. Experience in a pizza kitchen or in food service is a plus, but we will train the right person. We offer paid training time with our managers.
