Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deli and prep person to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking food items, primarily focusing on our sandwich station, in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a strong understanding of food safety standards, excellent knife skills, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining high-quality food preparation. Previous experience in restaurant or food industry settings. The Deli will contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences by ensuring all menu items are prepared accurately and promptly. Responsibilities Prepare sandwiches and other items made at station Ensure all food is prepared safely, following proper food handling and sanitation procedures Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal quality and safety standards are met Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders during busy periods Follow all health department regulations and company policies related to food safety and hygiene Assist with other kitchen duties such as meal prep, plating, and serving when necessary Qualifications Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality service Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills further while contributing to a dynamic food service environment.
