• Part-time, Full-time Wild Wasabi Signature is a busy, fast-paced Japanese restaurant located in Bellevue, WA.

We feature a high-volume sushi bar, interactive Teppan grills, and elevated Hibachi-style dining. We are currently looking for reliable, hard-working individuals to fill two different positions at our sushi bar: Experienced Sushi Chef and Sushi Prep & Helper . [Position 1] Experienced / Lead Sushi Chef (Full-Time) We are seeking a skilled, professional Sushi Chef who can take charge of the sushi bar, deliver high-quality dishes, and manage the team efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead sushi bar operations and ensure consistent quality of sushi, sashimi, and rolls. Handle professional fish butchery, prep, portion control, and inventory. Provide excellent counter-side service and interact professionally with guests. Train and manage sushi helpers/preps to maintain a smooth kitchen workflow.

Qualifications:

3-5+ years of solid experience as a Sushi Chef (Lead/Head chef experience is a big plus). Advanced knife skills and deep knowledge of fish cutting and handling. Strong leadership, communication skills, and a responsible work ethic.

Pay:

Competitive Pay (Negotiable based on experience) + Tips [Position 2] Sushi Prep & Helper (Full-Time or Part-Time) We are looking for an energetic and motivated helper to support our sushi chefs. We are willing to train the right candidate who has a great attitude and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist Sushi Chefs with daily prep work (cooking rice, prepping vegetables, making sauces). Keep the sushi station fully stocked with fresh ingredients and supplies. Prepare basic rolls and appetizers under the guidance of the Chef. Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

1+ years of kitchen or sushi prep experience is preferred, but entry-level candidates with a strong desire to learn are welcome. Basic knife skills, punctual, reliable, and a great team player. Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Pay:

Must have a valid Washington State Food Worker Card. Must be authorized to work in the US. Ability to work weekends and holidays.
