Job Description

Pay:
$20-24 Per Hour (plus tips) Part Time or Full Time Avaliable 15-35 Hours Per Week Dahlia Cove Studio is seeking a reliable hands-on Kitchen Staff to lead daily prep and run service in a small, fast-paced tea kitchen. We serve Afternoon Tea and lunch, and pride ourselves on creating a warm, welcoming experience for both our guests and our team. We're a closely knit, family-run business, and we care deeply about the culture we create. We're looking for someone who brings a genuinely positive attitude, communicates well, and enjoys being part of a supportive, team-first environment.
Schedule:
Thursday-Sunday:
Full & half service day shifts (8:00 AM-5:00 PM) Prep shifts-Wednesday (4-6 hours)- occasionally
Tuesdays Responsibilities:
Open and close the kitchen Must be able to communicate effectively and respectfully with all staff Ability to take feedback and corrective action well Opening duties included: Prep and assemble tea sandwiches, finishing desserts, and baking items Ability to follow protocols and checklists with detail
PREP DAYS INCLUDE
preparing spreads, baking and batching cookies and desserts, preparing curd, jam and clotted cream, cleaning dishes, resetting fridges and freezers, etc Plate and quality-check tea tiers and lunch plates Lead kitchen workflow during service, fast paced high volume orders
MUST WORK
well in a team enviorment Must be able to wash dishes and maintain sanitation standards Follow food safety and temperature controls Receive deliveries and manage inventory of food & consumables Food runs or pick ups if needed
Qualifications:
1-5 years kitchen or culinary/resturant experience (preferred); not required Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and positive attitude Willingess to learn and be flexible Pastry/baking experience preferred; not required Food Handler's Pemit ServSafe and MAST preferred Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods Comfortable working in small kitchens and high-volume service
Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
