Full Job Description Cook Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team. The Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes while maintaining a high standard of quality and presentation. The ideal candidate will have experience in culinary arts, meal preparation, and working in a kitchen environment.Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items in compliance with established recipes and standards.
- Ensure food preparation areas are clean and hygienic.
- Assist in ordering and managing inventory of food and supplies.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient food production.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Assist in developing new menu items or specials.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace.
- Follow proper portion control and presentation standards.
- Assist in training new kitchen staff members.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience working as a Cook or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and kitchen operations.
- Familiarity with food industry standards and practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience in fine dining or dietary aide roles is a plus.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Certification from a culinary school or relevant training programs is preferred.
Extraordinary tasks:
In the course of performing duties, there may be occasional tasks that involve exposure to potential risks such as handling raw ingredients. Proper training on safety protocols will be provided to minimize any possible risks.Working conditions:
- Standing for extended periods during cooking shifts
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs when handling supplies
- Potential driving for ingredient procurement or catering events
- Phone communication may be required during work hours
- Computer use for recipe lookup or inventory management Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
- Proficiency in culinary skills including meal preparation techniques
- Excellent verbal communication skills within the kitchen team
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Understanding of food safety regulations Equipment used: Office equipment including but not limited to kitchen appliances, knives, cutting boards, etc.

- Genuine passion for cooking and providing exceptional service
- Strong customer service skills
- Leadership abilities to guide kitchen staff effectively
- Sound judgment in high-pressure situations
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle confidential information securely
Education:
