Restaurant Crew Member

Job Summary Key duties include taking a customers order, accepting cash and other payment methods, issuing receipts and making sure the customer gets the correct order. Key duties involve prepping ingredients, cooking various foods, ensuring food presentation and adhering to health and safety standards. This position often requires teamwork and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Payment processing
• accurately ring up orders and process payments through cash, credit cards, debit cards or other methods.
• Cash handling
• Provide correct change to customers and if a customer leaves without getting their change notify the person in charge immediately.
• Customer service
• Greet customers, answer questions about products and store policies and refer any issues to the person in charge. Answer the store phone.
• Maintaining the store
• Keep the following areas clean front counter, lobby, Restrooms, parking lot, organized and stocked with supplies.
• Promotions and sales
• inform customers about current promotions and accept coupons.
• Learning our menu.
• Prepare ingredients
• measure, chop, and prepare ingredients, including meat and vegetables, according to recipes per Kitchen Procedure Manual (KPM).
• Cook and Plate food
• cook food using various methods (baking, grilling, frying, etc.) and arrange dishes for appealing presentation, per KPM.
• Maintain a clean workspace
• Clean and sanitize cooking areas, equipment and utensils throughout the shift.
• Follow safety standards
• Adhere to all health, safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper food handling and storage.
• Manage inventory
• Monitor stock levels, receive and rotate stock, and inform manager when supplies are low.
• Monitor quality
• Check the quality and freshness of ingredients, prepared products and maintain food temperature logs.
• Collaborate with teams
• Work with other cooks and front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate order completion.
• Measure and mix ingredients accurately to produce pizza dough according to company recipes and quality standards.
• Operate and maintain dough mixing and other related kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Monitor dough fermentation and adjusting timing as needed to ensure optimal texture, rise and flavor.
• Portion, weigh, and shape dough balls consistently for proper storage and use.
• Maintain a clean and organized dough preparation area, workstation and storage units.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including labeling, dating, and rotating dough using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method.
• Assist with other general kitchen and food preparation duties as needed.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management to coordinate production and meet demand.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Basic Math skills
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
