Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking dedicated Range Officers and Shooting Instructors to lead/oversee firearm safety, shooting activities, and range operations. This role is vital in ensuring a safe, engaging, and educational environment for all participants. As a Range Officer, you will facilitate shooting sessions, enforce safety protocols, and provide expert instruction to individuals of varying skill levels. Your energetic approach will inspire confidence and enthusiasm among shooters while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Duties Supervise all range activities to ensure compliance with safety guidelines and operational procedures Provide instruction on firearm handling, shooting techniques, and safety measures Conduct safety briefings before each session, emphasizing responsible firearm use and behavior management Monitor shooters during activities, offering guidance to improve skills and ensure safe practices Maintain accurate records of range usage, participant attendance, and incident reports as needed Enforce rules regarding equipment use, range conduct, and safety protocols to prevent accidents or misconduct Assist in the setup and maintenance of range facilities, ensuring equipment is in proper working order Requirements Proven experience as a shooting instructor or Range Officer with a strong understanding of firearm safety protocols Background in sports coaching, teaching, or martial arts such as Karate or Judo is highly desirable Experience working with children or students in physical education or childcare settings Knowledge of health club or gym environments related to physical activity instruction Strong skills in behavior management to foster a safe and respectful environment Lifeguard experience or similar safety certifications are advantageous but not mandatory Excellent communication skills with the ability to instruct diverse groups effectively Certifications Field Training Officer (FTO) Certification Stop The Bleed Certification CPR / Heartsaver First Aid Certification Join us in delivering an exciting, safe, and educational shooting experience!
