Key Responsibilities:

Supervises and observes swimmers at all times to ensure their safety Administers first aid for minor injuries such as small cuts and bruises Maintains amenities in and cleanliness of changing rooms, bathrooms, and showers Assists in organizing clinics and private swimming lessons for members as directed by the department manager Enforces rules of conduct Performs pool maintenance, including checking chemicals and vacuuming the pool Checks first aid supplies and reports needed items to management in a timely manner Organizes and monitors pool games at all times and suggests poolside games Skims bugs and other debris from the surface to prepare the pool for daily use and empties the automatic skimmer Cleans up and organizes the pool area at the end of the day Maintains all necessary records as determined by the department manager Incorporates safe work practices in job performance

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of two (2) years of lifeguarding experience CPR and First Aid certification; Water Safety/Instructor certifications required

Other Qualifications:

Regular and reliable attendance Knowledge of accepted sanitation standards and applicable health codes
