Yes The City of Conway is accepting applications for a Full Time Lifeguard position working in the Conway Community Center Aquatics Facility. This position is responsible for the safe operation, supervision, and maintenance of the Community Center's swimming pools and aquatic facilities. The Full Time Lifeguard also serves as a leader and mentor to other lifeguards while ensuring a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for all patrons.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor other lifeguards. Monitor and patrol activities in and around aquatic facilities. Enforce all pool rules and safety regulations. Render assistance to swimmers in distress. Administer first aid and CPR as needed. Supervise swim lessons, classes, pool parties, and aquatic programs. Assist with swim meets and special events. Maintain sanitation of pool areas, locker rooms, shower facilities, and party rooms. Assist with pool chemical readings. Maintain and care for swimming and safety equipment. Complete daily reports including accident, incident, and pool opening and closing reports. Report facility issues or safety concerns promptly. Orient and train new lifeguards. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Must be certified by the American Red Cross as a Lifeguard and maintain current certification. Two (2) years of lifeguard experience preferred. Ability to read and understand manufacturer safety data sheets. Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Energetic, dependable, and professional demeanor. Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and city events as scheduled.
