Ideally this candidate should have a background in swimming. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality swim instruction to students of all ages and skill levels, ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning environment. Swim Instructor Duties Conduct individual swim lessons, focusing on skill development and water safety. Assess students' swimming abilities and tailor lessons accordingly to meet their needs. Create engaging lessons that incorporate various swimming techniques and styles. Foster a positive learning atmosphere that encourages students to build confidence in the water. Monitor students during lessons to ensure safety and proper technique. Communicate effectively with students and their patrons regarding progress and areas for improvement. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool area before, during, and after lessons. Collaborate with other instructors to enhance the overall swim program. Lifeguard Duties Ensure the safety of individuals around the pool Monitor the activities around the pool Ensure patrons follow the facility rules Provide immediate assistance to individuals in distress, including CPR, other lifesaving techniques and coordinating with emergency services Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pool area before, during, and after your shift. Experience No work experience necessary Legally allowed to work in the United States Must be at least 14 years old on or before June Must be at least 15 and a half years old on or before June to be a Lifeguard Work Permit if under 18 years old Proficiency in freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke Swim team experience is a plus, but not required
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
