(Part-Time / Seasonal) Mulholland Tennis Club - Los Angeles, CA Position Summary Mulholland Tennis Club is seeking energetic, reliable, and safety-focused Lifeguards to join our team for the summer season. Lifeguards are responsible for maintaining a safe and enjoyable swimming environment for members, guests, and campers by enforcing pool rules, monitoring activities, preventing accidents, and responding effectively to emergencies. This position requires individuals who are attentive, professional, and committed to providing exceptional member service while ensuring the highest standards of aquatic safety. Pay $22.00 per hour Schedule Part-Time / Seasonal Weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed Summer Camp hours and special events available Required Qualifications Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification (or equivalent) Current CPR/AED Certification Current First Aid Certification Must be at least 16 years of age Ability to pass a pre-employment swim skills assessment Strong communication and customer service skills Preferred Qualifications Previous lifeguarding experience Experience working with children and families Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification is a plus Duties & Responsibilities Monitor pool activities and maintain constant surveillance of swimmers. Enforce pool rules and Mulholland Tennis Club policies in a professional and courteous manner. Recognize and respond quickly and effectively to aquatic emergencies. Administer first aid, CPR, and emergency care when necessary. Conduct routine safety inspections of the pool deck and aquatic facilities. Maintain accurate incident and accident reports. Assist with opening and closing pool procedures. Support swim lessons, summer camp activities, and club events as needed. Provide outstanding customer service to members, guests, and fellow staff. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of water hazards, pool safety, lifesaving techniques, and emergency response procedures. Ability to swim with proficiency, endurance, and confidence. Ability to analyze situations quickly and react appropriately during emergencies. Ability to remain calm, professional, and efficient under pressure. Strong visual and auditory ability to identify and respond to critical incidents. Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with members, guests, staff, and volunteers. Ability to work independently while maintaining constant supervision of assigned areas. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and sit for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry rescue equipment. Ability to enter the water quickly and perform water rescues. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Why Join Mulholland Tennis Club?
