Hourly Rate:
$27.05 1st Shift (5:00am - 2:00pm), Weekend and Holidays Required Valid U.S. Driver's License Required Are you looking for a place where meaningful moments are made together? As a Pool Mechanic at Marriott Vacations Worldwide (MVW), you will be responsible for making meaningful moments for Owners, members, and guests. You will be responsible for pressure washing the pool deck, checking pump motors, and adjusting the lighting timers. You will be responsible for overall general appearance standards of pool areas which includes cleaning and organizing pool chairs, cleaning the pool tiles as well as pool features, backwashing pool filters as needed, inspecting, and ensuring ADA pool equipment is working properly. Meeting with Vendors and DHEC, receiving supplies, replacing skimmer cover lids, checking spa jets, and completing other general pool duties as requested. You will add to the success of the MVW team by maintaining high standards and providing the best service. You will need to have a flexible schedule, communicate clearly with coworkers and guests, and follow the company's rules in all situations. This position may require a background check and/or drug screen contingent on company policy and state and local requirements. Specific job duties may differ by property, size of team, or facility. General Pool Maintenance Pressure washing the pool deck, checking pump motors, adjusting the lighting timer, cleaning and organizing pool chairs, cleaning pool tiles, and pool features, backwashing pool filters as needed, inspecting ADA pool equipment, repairing pool furniture (Chairs, Tables, Umbrellas), inspect safety equipment. Meets with Vendors and DHEC, receives supplies, replaces skimmer cover lid, checks spa jets, and other duties as requested. Vacuuming, cleaning skimmer basket, checking and cleaning pool handrail and ladder; straightening chairs, picking up trash, cleaning gas, and electric grills, and pulling weeds on the pool deck; noticing and addressing inconsistencies with Pumps, Water Level, and Water Flow. Observe activity and respond appropriately in accordance with local operating procedures in the event of an emergency (Help clear the pool deck when lightning is close by); Promote the rules and regulations of the facility. Be aware of possible situations where guests are not able to safely participate in an activity and inform the supervisor/manager. Assists injured guests until the arrival of emergency medical services; Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager. Completes safety training and certifications. Available to work various shifts, holidays, and both weekend days. Reach overhead and below the knees, perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, and be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. Lift/Carry/Push/Pull Items that Weigh up to 50lbs without assistance. Position may require background and drug screening contingent on company policy in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
