Swim Instructor (WSI Certified) -
Part-Time Seasonal Location:
Central Brevard County, FL Pay:
$18.00 per hour
Position Type:
Part-Time, Seasonal (Potential for Continued Employment) We are currently hiring a Certified Swim Instructor to provide high-quality swimming lessons and water safety education in Central Brevard County. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Water Safety Instructor (WSI) who enjoys working with children, teens, and adults while promoting confidence and safety in and around the water. This seasonal position offers flexible weekday scheduling and may continue beyond the summer based on program needs and performance. Schedule Monday through Friday Availability required as early as 7:00 AM and as late as 7:00 PM Part-time hours vary based on class schedules and program needs Swim Instructor Responsibilities Teach swimming lessons to participants of varying ages and skill levels Provide instruction in water safety, stroke development, and swimming fundamentals Evaluate participant progress and provide constructive feedback Create a positive, engaging, and safe learning environment Monitor participants during lessons and respond appropriately to emergencies Communicate professionally with participants, parents, and staff Maintain attendance records and follow aquatic program guidelines Required Qualifications Current Water Safety Instructor (WSI) Certification Current American Red Cross CPR Certification Knowledge of aquatic safety standards and swim instruction techniques Ability to work effectively with children and adults Strong communication and customer service skills Reliable transportation Preferred Qualifications Previous experience teaching swim lessons Experience working in aquatic programs, recreation programs, camps, or community centers Additional lifeguard or first aid certifications Why Join Our Team?
