JOB OVERVIEW
Attend to guests in the Pool and Beach area, courteously and efficiently according to Faena specifications. Responsible for delivering alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages, retrieving and delivering food orders, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of pool and cabana areas by performing the following duties.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards. Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended. Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas. Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
Maintain complete knowledge of:
Lounge & Cabana numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, proper table set-up and dress code of the Pool & Beach. All liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections, correct glassware and garnishes in the Pool & Beach. The particular characteristics and description of every food and beverage item on the Pool & Beach menu. All menu items, prices, preparation method/time, major ingredients and quality standards, taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, garnish and method of presentation. Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons and driving while under the influence. Complete opening and closing side duties as assigned. Guide the activities of the assigned Servers, Attendant and Food Runner to ensure optimum service to guests. Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended. Understands and responds to all guest needs and request in a timely and professional manner. Be familiar with all Hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately. Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction. Maintains pool and beach policies and procedures, ensures professional standards of operations. Maintains adequate inventory of all necessary pool and beach supplies and equipment. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas. Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available in the assigned outlet. Provides exceptional guest service. Cleans and upkeeps cabana bar and pool area. Ensures guest safety by enforcing all rules. Facilitates daily activities Trains seasonal staff members and ensures impeccable service from all. Obtains and serves refreshments to guests as requested. Organize all assigned functions and complete preparation work in accordance to departmental standards. Follow up on special arrangements to ensure compliance with such. Ensure that assigned staff have reported to work; document any late or absent employees. Coordinate breaks for assigned staff. Inspect grooming and attire of staff; rectify any deficiencies. Assist Pool and Beach staff with their job functions to ensure optimum service to guests. Ensure all closing duties for staff are completed before staff sign out. Provide feedback to staff on their performance. Work without direct supervision. Develop a positive working relationship with all hotel departments to facilitate a team-oriented atmosphere. Regularly communicate with the Pool and Beach Management in regard to the department's related matters. Continuously review the operation and make recommendations on how to enhance the service.
