Community Manager Position Summary The Pool Monitor is responsible for helping maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming pool environment for residents and guests. This role includes monitoring activity in and around the pool area, enforcing community rules and safety regulations, verifying access passes, assisting residents with pool-related needs, and supporting the overall appearance and readiness of the facility. The Pool Monitor also helps ensure the cleanliness, setup, and security of the pool deck and surrounding amenities in accordance with community standards. This position does not involve Lifeguard duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Observe and patrol the pool area and enforce all posted safety regulations and community rules. Provide excellent customer service consistent with the community standards and expectations. Greet residents and guests upon arrival and offer assistance as needed. Verify resident and guest FOB usage for pool entry. Respond professionally to resident requests, concerns, and complaints, and communicate issues to the Community Manager as appropriate. Maintain familiarity with the pool facility, including pool depths, general layout, and safety features. Identify and report hazards, injuries, equipment issues, defects, or unsafe conditions to management immediately. Help ensure the swimming pool area remains clean, orderly, and presentable at all times. Report maintenance concerns to the Community Manager in a timely manner. Assist with daily setup of the pool area, including arranging furniture and ensuring the deck is clean and ready for use. Maintain cleanliness of the pool deck and surrounding facilities, including straightening chairs, collecting trash, and keeping common areas tidy. Help monitor the security and condition of all pool-related areas and amenities. Monitor surrounding Amenity Center grounds. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with residents, guests, and staff. Ability to observe surroundings carefully and respond appropriately to issues. Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods. At least 18 years of age or older. Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Basic computer knowledge preferred. Experience Previous experience as a pool attendant, pool monitor, lifeguard, or in a similar customer service role preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to bend, lift, move chairs, and perform light physical tasks related to pool setup and cleanliness. Ability to work outdoors in heat, humidity, and sunlight for extended periods. Work Environment This position primarily works outdoors in and around the community pool area. Exposure to heat, sun, water, and cleaning materials may occur regularly.
Pay:
$15.00 to $16.00 per hour •Must adhere to a background and drug screening Schedule This part-time seasonal position will primarily cover spring and summer hours, with shifts divided between multiple Pool Monitors.
Monday-Friday:
1:30 PM•6:30
PM Weekends:
3:30 PM•8:30
PM Holidays:
