Lifeguard Job Type:

Part-Time. Year-Round Positions (STARTING IN May/June 2026)

• Training would take place beginning/mid May.

Your own regular, reoccurring schedule would begin ASAP.

Pay:

$15.00-$16.00 DOE Idaho Competitive Aquatics is looking for Lifeguards to watch over our pools & ensure the safety of our guests.

The Position:

Our Lifeguards are an integral part in ensuring that Idaho Central Aquatic Center is "Where family memories are made." Our staff help facilitate this by:

• Enforcing pool rules to ensure a safe & orderly environment
• Responding calmly & quickly to emergencies & rescuing swimmers in danger of drowning
• Maintaining cleanliness of aquatic areas to promote an enjoyable experience
• Provides first aid, CPR, & calls emergency medical personnel if necessary
• Performs custodial work as necessary including maintaining a safe pool & deck area
• Interact with the public and co-workers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Display a positive attitude & work harmoniously with co-workers, the general public, and other organizations.
• Communicate effectively in the English language at a level necessary for efficient job performance.
• Complete assignments in a timely fashion
• Understand and comply with all rules, policies, and regulations.
• Maintain prompt and regular attendance.
• Perform all essential and marginal functions as assigned by an authorized supervisor, and/or manager with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements:

• 16+ yrs old
• Reliable transportation
• Customer service oriented with great interpersonal skills
• Strong swimmer & trained/certified in water rescue
• Possess nationally recognized certifications in aquatics including: Lifeguarding, CPR/AED & First Aid (Certifications/Re-Certifications are available in house. Inquire for details)
• Red Cross Certifications are preferred
• 2+ years of lifeguard experience preferred
