We are currently looking for an experienced, immediate, seasonal pool attendant for one of our beautiful Properties in Portage. The pool attendant is primarily responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of swimmers and maintaining a clean and orderly pool environment. This involves enforcing pool rules, monitoring for any signs of distress, performing basic water quality checks, and maintaining a tidy pool area. They also collaborate with lifeguards and other staff to ensure smooth operations. Here's a more detailed breakdown of the typical duties:
Safety and Supervision:
Enforcing Pool Rules:
Ensuring all swimmers adhere to the established rules and regulations.
Monitoring Swimmers:
Observing swimmers, especially children and those with less experience, to identify any signs of distress or potential hazards. Responding to
Emergencies:
Knowing what to do in case of an accident or injury, and assisting with emergency procedures, potentially in collaboration with lifeguards. Maintaining a
Safe Environment:
Ensuring the pool deck and surrounding areas are free of hazards and that the environment is conducive to safe swimming.
Maintenance and Cleanliness:
Pool Cleaning:
Performing basic cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, and removing debris from the pool area.
Water Quality:
May be required to perform basic water quality checks and report any issues.
Maintaining Order:
Ensuring the pool area is organized and tidy, including furniture placement, towel storage, and waste disposal.
Customer Service and Communication:
Answering Questions:
Providing information to pool users about rules, schedules, and facility policies.
Assisting Members and Guests:
Helping pool users with general inquiries and concerns.
Collaboration:
Working effectively with lifeguards, facility managers, and other staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
Other Responsibilities:
Documentation:
Keeping records of incidents, hazards, or unusual situations. Assisting with
Special Events:
Potentially helping with the setup and organization of special events or activities.
Basic Maintenance:
May be required to assist with basic maintenance tasks such as checking pool equipment or replacing supplies. In essence, the seasonal pool attendant is a key part of the team that ensures a safe, enjoyable, and well-maintained swimming experience for all pool users
