Cafe Hope Lifeguard 4.6 4.6 out of 5 stars We, at Cafe Hope, are seeking a lifeguard to monitor and supervise aquatic activities. Their primary duties include overseeing swimmer safety, rescue operations and staying alert to changing weather and water conditions.

They are also responsible for:

Supervising swimming activities at the aquatic centre and making sure that safety procedures, guidelines and policies are followed Warning of unsafe activities and enforcing water safety policies and pool regulations Providing first aid in the event of injury, rescuing swimmers in danger or distress and administering Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or artificial respiration, if necessary Assessing conditions for safety and coming up with an action plan for aquatics emergency Inspecting pool equipment, facilities and water to make sure they are usable and safe Supervising and assisting in general safety, cleanliness, and appearance of assigned aquatics amenities including pool areas, restrooms, and when able to do so without distraction from lifeguarding responsibilities; Opening and closing the pool each day, depending on schedule and hours Resolving scheduling conflicts to make sure the pool environment is safe for competitions Applicants should meet the following requirements: Minimum age of sixteen at the time of application.

• A current, nationally recognized Lifeguard Training Certification from a professional provider.
• A current, nationally recognized Community First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer Certification
• from a professional provider.
• A current nationally recognized Water Safety or Swim Instructor Certification from a professional provider.
