Assistant Pool Director

The Windsor Club in Newton MA has an openings for an assistant pool director for this upcoming summer. The position runs from Memorial Day until Labor Day. There is flexibility in the schedule and the hours are shared between the assistant and pool director. This is a wonderful outdoor pool located in the beautiful town of Waban, which is a village in Newton.

Responsiblities:

: Ensure the safety of swimmers by preventing and responding to potential emergencies. Survey the pool and patrons throughout their shift. Provide emergency care and first aid to members who require it. Perform cleaning and basic maintenance jobs to help keep the pool area sanitary and safe. Enforce all the pool rules. Test chemicals (PH, Chlorine, Hardness, and Alkalinity) during the day. Be able to communicate effectively to both children and adults. Is responsible and arrives to work on-time.

• Oversee front desk and lifeguard staff while making sure they are performing their duties
• Help assist in payoll duties as needed
• be competent in computer skills and programs
• perform basic pool maintenance tasks.
• Lifeguard and work the front desk if needed.
• Help with recruiting new summer staff.
• Oversee the Water Safety Program.

Requirements:

American Red Cross certification or equivalence in Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR, and AED. 21 years old or older Be professional, courteous, and always on-time. Previous experience working at a pool and as a manager
