The Boys & Girls Club of Metro North Community Boating Program is entering its fifth year of bringing a love of the water to our local communities. We are looking for enthusiastic, friendly crew members who have some knowledge or a willingness to learn safe boating operations and gain experience with customer service.
Responsibilities will include:
Working with the Site Supervisor in the day-to-day functions of the boat rental program. Maintain a clean and safe environment. Monitor and maintain the condition of the area and equipment. Instruct participants on basic boating skills. Assist with the reservation process. Provide first aid and CPR assistance in case of an accident or emergency. Respond to emergencies on the lake, including boating accidents, medical emergencies, and other incidents. May assist with other tasks & projects as assigned. All applicants must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays throughout the season, from May 24th - September 28th.
Requirements:
Certified in CPR, First Aid & AED (training provided) Certified in safe boating practices (training provided) Some waterfront experience Good communication and interpersonal abilities Able to lift 40-50 lbs. Environment:
Primarily outdoors, exposed to varying New England weather conditions, including heat, rain, and potential cold.
