Summer is calling! Are you ready to spend your summer leading a group of campers on a journey filled with amazing learning experiences, laughter, and lifelong memories? If you are up for the challenge, we want you to join our team as a Head Pool Lifeguard at our day camp, Camp Cedar Hill, located in Waltham, MA We are looking for individuals who are energetic and have a passion for working with youth. Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts (GSEMA) offers invaluable skill-building, leadership, training, and enrichment opportunities that can't be found anywhere else. This position requires you to be at least 21 years of age (as of June 15, 2026) and have experience supervising others. If you do not have current Red Cross Lifeguard Training but you have a willingness to become certified, we offer training•

Hours and Work Environment:

Camp Dates are June 22•August 22, 2026. Camp runs Monday•Friday and the role is for 40-hours per week. The camp season includes 1 week of paid training. Pay Rate $19.50 per hour What are some of the perks of working at camp? A Head Pool Lifeguard will:

Oversee the pool program, ensuring waterfront safety for all camp participants. Supervise lifeguards. Assist with the care and maintenance of pool equipment including monitoring water quality as directed by the camp director or site manager. Collaborate with staff to plan and adapt age-appropriate activities aligned with Girl Scout program goals. Foster a positive, nurturing, and inclusive camp environment focused on camper safety, growth, support, and development. Administer first aid or seek emergency assistance when necessary.
