In this energetic role, you'll be the vigilant guardian of our pool area, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests. Your proactive supervision and quick response skills will help prevent accidents and promote a fun, secure experience for everyone. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your lifeguarding expertise while contributing to a lively community atmosphere. Duties Monitor the pool area continuously to ensure guest safety and enforce pool rules effectively Respond swiftly and confidently to emergencies, providing first aid and CPR when necessary Conduct routine pool maintenance tasks, including cleaning the pool deck and ensuring water quality standards are met Perform regular pool inspections, checking for hazards and maintaining cleanliness through proper pool cleaning procedures Assist guests with pool access, provide excellent guest services, and answer questions about pool operations Collaborate with team members to uphold safety protocols and maintain a welcoming environment Handle heavy lifting involved in setting up or maintaining pool equipment and supplies Qualifications Prior lifeguard experience is preferred; certification in lifeguarding, CPR, and first aid is required or obtainable upon hire Ability to swim confidently and demonstrate strong swimming skills Knowledge of basic pool maintenance and cleaning techniques is a plus Comfortable performing heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with pool upkeep Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude Ability to stay alert during long periods of supervision in a lively environment Must be at least 16 years old or as specified by local regulations Embark on an active role that combines safety leadership with community engagement!
