Jr. Lifeguard (BEACH PATROL) SEASONAL

Under the direction of a Supervising Lifeguard or other supervisory official, protects life and provides for the safety and welfare of persons in swimming/bathing areas; does other related duties. Master all of the skills necessary to pass the Beach Patrol test and become a member of the Patrol when eligible.

Trained how to warn swimmers of improper activities or danger and how to enforce regulations and water safety policies. Taught how to properly inform bathers of restrictions in bathing areas. Maintains rescue equipment in preparation for immediate response. May assist lifeguards by notifying proper authorities in the chain of command of public disturbances and emergencies where needed.
