In this dynamic role, you'll be responsible for safeguarding guests, providing engaging swim instruction, recognizing members and keeping track of their guests, and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the pool area. Your proactive approach will help foster confidence in swimmers of all ages while promoting water safety and fun. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in lifeguarding, teaching, and pool maintenance within a lively community setting. Duties Monitor pool activities continuously to ensure guest safety and enforce facility rules Respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies with first aid and CPR as needed Conduct routine pool maintenance including cleaning, chemical checks, and equipment inspections Provide engaging swim lessons tailored to different skill levels, encouraging progress and confidence Assist with guest services by answering questions, providing directions, and ensuring a positive experience Perform regular pool cleaning tasks such as skimming debris, vacuuming the pool floor, and maintaining water clarity Support heavy lifting tasks related to pool supplies, equipment setup, or maintenance materials Take regular readings for PH and Chlorine levels Monitor the pool vaccuum - adjust cord if necessary Deliver drinks and food to guests if necessary Experience Previous lifeguard experience or certification in lifeguarding, CPR, and first aid is required (training may be provided if identified in advance) Demonstrated ability to swim proficiently in various strokes with comfort in deep water Experience in pool maintenance or cleaning; training will be provided Strong guest service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods Knowledge of basic pool chemistry and safety protocols is desirable Join us to make waves in your community!
