Seasonal Lifeguard

Do you love the outdoors, being active, and making a difference? Work where you play this summer as a Lifeguard at Sand Harbor State Park —one of the most beautiful beaches on Lake Tahoe! As a Seasonal Lifeguard , you'll spend your days on the sand and in the water, ensuring visitor safety, responding to emergencies, and patrolling the shoreline . You'll get hands-on experience in lifesaving techniques, water rescue, and first aid—all while soaking in Tahoe's breathtaking scenery.

What You'll Do:

Monitor and protect visitors on Sand Harbor's stunning beach and waterfront areas Use lifesaving equipment, watercraft, and rescue techniques to keep everyone safe Administer first aid and CPR when needed Educate visitors on park rules and safety guidelines Help keep the beach clean and well-maintained

What You Need:

Current enrollment in high school (or equivalent) One year of work and/or volunteer experience A valid Red Cross Lifeguarding Certificate (or ability to obtain) A passion for teamwork, safety, and outdoor recreation This is a seasonal position with full-time and part-time options .
