Lifeguard and Swim Instructor

Overview:

We are seeking dedicated and responsible individuals to join our team as Lifeguards and/or swim instructors. As a Lifeguard, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests at the pool. This is a paid position with opportunities for growth and development. As a swim instructor, you will go through training (paid) to learn how to teach children how to swim and water safety.

Lifeguard Responsibilities:

• Monitor the pool area to prevent accidents and respond quickly in emergency situations
• Enforce pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests
• Provide excellent guest service by answering questions, providing assistance, and addressing concerns
• Perform pool cleaning duties, including skimming debris, vacuuming, and maintaining proper chemical levels
• Conduct regular inspections of pool equipment and report any maintenance or repair needs
• Administer CPR, first aid, or other emergency medical procedures when necessary
• Assist with pool maintenance tasks such as backwashing filters, checking water temperature, and adjusting water chemistry levels

Lifeguard Experience:

• Previous experience as a Lifeguard is preferred but not required
• Strong swimming skills and knowledge of lifeguarding techniques.

Must be able to perform the lifeguard class pre-swim, which is a 150 front stroke with a 2 minute no hand tread water, followed by an additional 50 yard front stroke. The second part of the pre-swim includes a timed swim. The participant must swim from the shallow end to the deep end, retreive a 10 pound brick from at leaset 9 feet depth, then swim back to the shallow end carrying the brick without using your arms in 1:40 or under.

• Current certification in CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguarding (or willingness to obtain certification)
