Job Description

Bluecrest Amenity Management , a leading provider of aquatic and amenity management services, is seeking a dedicated and responsible Lifeguard to ensure the safety and well-being of all guests utilizing our indoor and outdoor swimming pools. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for monitoring pool activities, enforcing safety rules, and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including upscale residential buildings, fitness centers, and recreational facilities across New York City. Key Responsibilities:
Monitor Pool Area:
Continuously monitor the pool area to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all swimmers.
Rescue Operations:
Respond promptly and efficiently to emergencies or accidents, performing first aid and CPR as needed.
Enforce Safety Rules:
Educate pool patrons on safety rules and enforce proper pool behavior, ensuring a safe environment for everyone.
Maintain Cleanliness:
Ensure the pool area is clean and free of hazards, including monitoring the cleanliness of pool decks, changing rooms, and bathrooms.
Record Keeping:
Maintain detailed records of daily pool activity, including any incidents, water testing logs, safety checks, and maintenance issues.
Equipment Maintenance:
Ensure all safety equipment (rescue tubes, life jackets, etc.) is properly maintained and readily available for use.
Customer Service:
Provide exceptional customer service by assisting guests with pool-related questions and promoting safety awareness.
Communication:
Report any unsafe conditions or incidents to the facility supervisor and collaborate with team members to resolve issues.
Pool and Water Testing Inspections:
Conduct regular pool inspections to ensure proper water quality and temperature, adhering to safety and health regulations.
Team Collaboration:
Work alongside other lifeguards and facility staff to create a positive experience for all guests.
Qualifications:
Certification:
Current Lifeguard and CPR and First Aid Certification (American Red Cross or
NYC D.O.H.
approved certificates) required.
Experience:
Previous experience as a lifeguard or in a similar safety-focused role is preferred.
Physical Fitness:
Must be able to swim and maintain physical fitness standards, as well as stand for extended periods.
Knowledge:
Familiarity with pool safety procedures, water quality standards, and emergency protocols.
Communication Skills:
Strong communication skills to effectively engage with guests and team members.
Customer-Oriented:
Friendly, professional demeanor with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Availability:
Flexible schedule, with availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
Team Player:
Ability to work collaboratively with other lifeguards, facility staff, and management to ensure the highest standards of safety and service.
Additional Requirements:
Must be able to pass water assessment and in-water fitness skills. Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, year-round.
