Job Description
NFC Amenity Management's Lifeguards ensure the safety of individuals utilizing the aquatic facility by preventing and responding to emergencies. A lifeguard is responsible for maintaining facility appearance and upholding our 5 Diamond Customer Service Standard while adhering to all workplace expectations and policies. This is a part-time position that pays $18-$22 per hour. Pay rate depends on location and shift.
Reports To:
Aquatic and/or Spa-Fitness Director A Lifeguard reports directly to an NFC Director. If a Director is not stationed at the facility, the Lifeguard reports directly to the Area Director.Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintains constant surveillance of individuals in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure the safety of all individuals in the event of an emergency. Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services. Advise residents and guests of improper activities or hazards and enforces and adheres to facility rules and regulations. Always presents a professional appearance and attitude. Must follow NFC Uniform and Grooming Standards. Maintains a high standard of customer service. Performs various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility. Prepares and maintains appropriate activity reports. Accurately records time in/out by following the Company's Time and Attendance system. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.Minimum Job Requirements:
CPR Certified with current certification by an accredited source of training. Lifeguard Certified with current certification by an accredited source of training. Must always possess current Lifeguard and CPR certifications.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Knowledge of CPR and emergency medical procedures. Skill in the application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergencies. Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork. Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions. Effective communication skills and positive engagement with clients.
