Job Description
Overview Join our vibrant aquatic team as a Lifeguard and Swim Instructor, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for all pool visitors. This dynamic position combines vigilant supervision with engaging swim instruction, empowering guests to develop their swimming skills while feeling secure under your watchful eye. Whether you're maintaining pool safety or teaching life-saving techniques, your energy and dedication will inspire confidence and promote healthy, active lifestyles. Duties Monitor pool areas continuously to ensure the safety of all swimmers and prevent accidents or emergencies. Respond swiftly and effectively to any water-related incidents, providing first aid or CPR as needed. Conduct routine pool maintenance tasks such as cleaning filters, skimming debris, and checking chemical levels to ensure optimal water quality. Deliver engaging swim lessons tailored to various skill levels, fostering confidence and improving technique among participants. Enforce facility rules and safety guidelines with a positive attitude to promote responsible swimming behavior. Assist with pool setup, including opening procedures, equipment checks, and closing responsibilities to maintain a pristine environment. Provide exceptional guest services by answering questions, offering guidance, and creating a friendly atmosphere for all visitors. Qualifications 17+ Proven lifeguard experience with current certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid from an accredited organization (within a year). Strong swimming skills with the ability to perform water rescues confidently and efficiently. Experience in swim instruction or coaching is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for pool maintenance or equipment setup. Knowledge of pool maintenance procedures including chemical balancing and cleaning techniques. Excellent guest service skills with a positive, energetic attitude that encourages guest engagement. Physical stamina to stand, walk, or lift for extended periods while maintaining alertness throughout shifts. Embark on a rewarding career where safety meets fun!
