Lifeguard (Seasonal)

Job Requirements:

Current Red Cross Certifications in: o Lifeguarding o First Aid o

CPR/AED Knowledge and Skills:

o Thorough knowledge and application of Lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques. o An understanding of facility characteristics, rules, policies and procedures. o Leadership and public relations skills. o Decision-making skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilityof a Lifeguard is to ensure patron safety and protect lives---- Including your own. 1. Recognize and respond quickly and effectively in emergencies. 2. Enforce all pool facility policies, rules and regulations. 3. Inspect the facility on a daily schedule and report any unsafe conditions or equipment to the supervisor. 4. Complete records and reports 5. Participate in regular in-service training. 6. Maintain fitness level (swimming skills, strength and endurance) 7. Complete Secondary Responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

Secondary Responsibilities:

(Include but not limited to)secondary responsibilitiesmust never prevent the Lifeguard from meeting his or her primary responsibility.

Lifeguards should never perform secondary responsibilities when they are engaged in patron surveillance. 1. Assisting Members, their children and guests 2.

Facility maintenance:

o Cleaning and stocking of

Bathhouse:

towels, trash, showers, sinks, toilets and floors.

o Cleaning pool grounds:

storage shed, cabanas, tables, chairs, lounges, towels, trash, garbage cans, toys and play areas. o

Patio Area:

Assist Snack Bar staff in maintaining cleanliness of tables, chairs, floor and garbage cans. o

Swim Areas:

vacuuming, brushing, skimming, skimmer baskets, gutters and tile. 3. Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.

Reports to:

Pool Facilities Manager, Assistant Manager and General Manager Work Remotely No Job Type:

From $14.50 per hour
