In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for maintaining order during live sports events, private parties, and other gatherings within a lively sports bar setting. Your proactive presence will help prevent incidents, manage conflicts, and respond swiftly to emergencies. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a vibrant entertainment venue where safety is paramount and every shift is filled with action and purpose. Duties Monitor the premises during sporting events, private functions, and regular operating hours to ensure safety and security. Conduct thorough surveillance using CCTV systems to oversee activity within the venue and identify potential issues early. Manage crowd control by enforcing venue policies, preventing overcrowding, and de-escalating conflicts with professionalism. Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies by applying conflict management skills, providing first aid if necessary, and coordinating with emergency responders when required. Enforce age restrictions, check IDs, and monitor alcohol consumption to promote responsible service. Maintain detailed incident reports, shift logs, and security records accurately reflecting daily activities. Assist with loss prevention efforts by observing suspicious behavior and preventing theft or vandalism. Qualifications Must have valid Oregon DPSST Unarmed Certification. Previous experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable. Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; training will be provided if necessary. Strong surveillance skills with familiarity in CCTV operation are advantageous. Ability to handle conflicts calmly and effectively while maintaining a positive attitude. Knowledge of security procedures, loss prevention strategies, and emergency response protocols. Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with patrons, staff, and emergency personnel. Physical fitness to stand for extended periods, respond quickly to incidents, and perform necessary safety duties.
