  • EXAMPLE
OF DUTIES
Instructs children, youth and/or adults in learn-to-swim skills and techniques.

Demonstrates proper swimming skills.

Complies with lesson plans.

Supervise classes through skill practice.

Organizes skill practice to enhance skill learning.

Uses proper guarding skills and procedures. Performs emergency procedures when necessary.

Provides constant attention to assigned guarding areas.

Uses safe work practices while on the job, including following proper and established procedure in the use of equipment and wearing appropriate and/or required safety and personal protective gear.

Works as part of a team, attending training, orientation and/or staff meetings as necessary.

Enforces program, facility and department rules and regulations; maintains safety, order and discipline of participants and/or customers.

Performs customer relations role which includes interacting with parents, participants, business or program partners and/or staff to provide information and solve problems, as needed. Sets up and puts away equipment as needed. Performs other duties as appropriate or necessary for performance of the job.
