The pool attendant does not need to be a certified lifeguard. There will not be a certified lifeguard on duty, as this is a "Swim-at-your-own-risk" pool. Pool Attendant shifts include Monday-Friday, 3:00pm-7:00pm, and Saturday, 10:00am to 7:00pm & Sunday, 12:00pm-7:00pm., up to a maximum of 29 hours per week. Job Summary The Seasonal Pool Attendant will greet members and guests at our outdoor pool. This is a seasonal part-time position from late May to early September. Hours can vary, up to 29 hours per week. Must be flexible with working hours and be available weekends and holidays. The pool attendant should be friendly, upbeat, and outgoing, while providing excellent customer service. Essential Duties Enthusiastically greet members as they enter and leave the pool area Maintain the pool deck, pool deck furniture, trash cans, restrooms, and clubhouse in a clean and orderly manner Answer member questions, review member accounts, assist in setting up new members Address/resolve customer questions and concerns Must be able to learn and use our software database and registration procedures Enter data for registrations, memberships, lessons, and day passes Process payments in the form of cash, check, and credit/debit cards Ensure all currency and account information is kept locked and secure Ensure cash intake during the day is present at the end of each shift Close out daily cash drawer, fill out deposit slip, and attach it to daily intake for deposit Arrive early and/or stay late to open and close the pool area at the beginning and/or end of each shift Work effectively with little or no supervision Education, Experience, and Certifications Must be at least 18 years old High School Diploma required Must have dependable transportation CPR/First Aid/AED certification required Physical Demands Accommodation may be made for some of these physical demands for otherwise qualified individuals who require and request such accommodation. Mobility and strength sufficient to offer medical assistance up to and including CPR if needed Strength to lift equipment or materials weighing up to 20 pounds Vision to read printed materials and a computer monitor Hearing and speech sufficient to communicate in person or over the telephone Compensation and Benefits Teammates will receive shirts according to our uniform policy. Starting pay range is $16.00 to $17.00 per hour.
