Job Description
Spring Education Group's Early Childhood Education Division includes nearly 150 schools offering services from infant care through Pre-K/K programs, as well as summer camp and after-school programs. Our locations span a nationwide geographic footprint and a diverse array of pedagogical approaches — including our proprietary Links to Learning curriculum that draws from the collective expertise of renowned early-age educators such as Dewey, Piaget and Vygotsky; Montessori schools that embrace both accredited Montessori methods - AMI (Association Montessori Internationale) and AMS (American Montessori Society); and progressive language immersion programs in Mandarin and Spanish. Chesterbrook Academy is seeking responsible and enthusiastic Lifeguards who are committed to safety, teamwork, and creating a positive experience for children this summer. As a Lifeguard, you'll play a critical role in ensuring a safe, enjoyable pool environment while engaging with campers and supporting a fun, active summer program.
What You'll Do:
- Monitor pool and aquatic areas to ensure the safety of all swimmers
- Enforce pool rules and safety procedures consistently and professionally
- Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and provide first aid as needed
- Supervise swimming times, water activities, and aquatic play
- Create a welcoming, supportive environment where all campers feel safe and confident
- Collaborate with camp staff and leadership to support daily operations and programming
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age and meet state licensing requirements
- Prior experience working with children or in an aquatic or recreational setting preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Reliable, flexible, and positive attitude
