Job Description
Job Overview Join our vibrant team as a Lifeguard and Monitor, where you'll be the vital guardian of safety and enjoyment at our aquatic facilities. In this dynamic role, you'll ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all guests by actively monitoring pool areas, performing essential maintenance, and delivering exceptional guest services. Your energetic presence will help create memorable experiences while upholding the highest standards of safety and cleanliness. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to combine your passion for swimming and safety with meaningful work that makes a difference every day. Duties Vigilantly monitor pool areas to prevent accidents and respond swiftly to emergencies using certified lifesaving skills such as CPR and first aid. Enforce safety rules and regulations to maintain a secure environment for swimmers of all ages. Conduct regular pool maintenance tasks including cleaning, chemical testing, and ensuring proper water quality to keep the pool inviting and safe. Perform routine pool cleaning activities such as skimming, vacuuming, and filter checks to uphold hygiene standards. Assist guests with pool-related inquiries, provide excellent guest services, and ensure a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Support pool area setup and breakdown for scheduled activities or events, ensuring all equipment is in good working order. Heavy lifting may be required when handling pool supplies or equipment to support ongoing maintenance efforts. Experience Previous lifeguard experience is preferred; certification in lifeguarding, CPR, and first aid is required or must be obtained upon hiring. Demonstrated swimming ability with comfort in deep water environments. Knowledge of pool maintenance procedures including chemical testing and basic cleaning techniques. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of routine maintenance tasks. Strong guest service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities.
