JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the safety of Guests in water up to four (4) feet of water at Universal Kids Resort's onsite hotel pool. Patrons' surveillance to ensure Guest safety and delivers exemplary guest service to ensure a safe, welcoming, and playful environment for families and children. Partners with Front Office Operations and Housekeeping teams to ensure a seamless hotel pool experience.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures the proper use of safety practices and procedures for Guests within the onsite hotel pool and pool areas. Patrons' surveillance of Guests following the Lifeguard Certification Program standards. Demonstrates professional and consistent adherence to all pool and Universal safety standards. Manages the opening and closing procedures of the pool operations and sharing safety instructions as needed. Assists Guests with special loading access into pool in water depths up to four (4) feet. Maintains ability to recognize, respond to and extract and individual in distress as necessary. Maintains a clean and safe work environment by constantly monitoring the immediate area and/or surroundings. Responsible for ensuring a neat and organized work area, trash removal and keeping the area free of debris. Ensures the proper maintenance of equipment and pool area. Performs daily safety checks of pool area for potential hazards. Adheres to all safety procedures, including adverse weather conditions. Maintains all certifications and training required to comply with the American Red Cross certification program. Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities (KSAs) required. Must be comfortable in and around water for entire shift. Ability to make quick decisions, recognize, respond to, and extract an individual in distress. Must be able to complete required swim test and maintain American Red Cross Lifeguard certification. Must be able to distinguish hand signals at a distance of up to 50 feet. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Consistent attendance is a job requirement.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification, CPR, First Aid and AED certifications and pass a written and practical American Red Cross certification and general operating procedures assessment are required.
