Lifeguard

Interested in being a lifeguard at Lakeside? We are looking for hard working, friendly, and knowledgeable staff who are at least 16 years old to meet lifeguard certification requirements. Pay starts at $15/hr for lifeguarding and only goes up from there! Lifeguard supervisors must have at least three years of lifeguarding experience.

Job Summary:

The lifeguard position is responsible for ensuring the safety of members and guests at the pool and during pool-area events.

Job Duties:

Safeguards and regulates conduct of pool patrons. Enforces policies, rules, and regulations. Tests water quality in pool and maintains appropriate records. Assists in the proper maintenance and sanitary up keep of the pool and pool area. Attends in-service training and instructs certain skills to staff. Provides customer service to members and guests, including handling conflict and complaints, as necessary. Performs work safely in accordance with department safety procedures. Operates equipment safely and reports any unsafe work conditions or practice to supervisor. Monitors children at camp, swim team and in non-aquatic areas. Performs other duties as assigned

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
