Job Description

Duties include supervising assigned aquatic staff; assisting with staff recruitment, hiring, development, training and performance evaluation processes; overseeing operations of multiple assigned aquatic facilities and participating in regular inspections, upkeep and equipment maintenance; providing assistance in the development and revision of pool policies, procedures, and forms; preparing a wide variety of reports; responding to and resolving difficult and sensitive inquiries and complaints; organizing and leading in-service training and certification classes; and performing water rescue as needed. Duties will require maintaining a strong presence at all assigned facilities on a regular basis. A high school diploma or equivalent, plus minimum of three years related experience and two years of supervisory or lead experience. Must have Lifeguard and Instructor certification (if not Red Cross, must be able to obtain in the first 4 months). Advanced First Aid and CPR are also required. Candidate must have or be able to obtain Certified Pool Operator certification or similar credentials. Must have a valid Class C Texas driver's license. Hours may vary and will include evenings and weekends.
PAY GRADE GG18 / FULL PAY RANGE
