Responsibilities Monitor the pool area continuously to enforce safety rules and prevent accidents Respond swiftly and effectively to emergency situations using first aid and CPR techniques Conduct regular pool inspections, including cleaning, chemical checks, and equipment maintenance Assist guests with pool access, provide information about facilities, and ensure a positive guest experience Perform routine pool cleaning tasks such as skimming debris, scrubbing surfaces, and maintaining water clarity Handle heavy lifting involved in setting up or breaking down pool equipment and furniture Document incidents, safety checks, and maintenance activities accurately in logs Experience Prior lifeguard experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid is essential; certification must be current or obtained upon hire Ability to swim confidently and comfortably in various water conditions Basic knowledge of pool maintenance including chemical balancing and cleaning procedures Strong guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, perform heavy lifting, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions Embark on this rewarding journey where your vigilance ensures safety while you help create memorable summer moments.
