Part Time/Seasonal Lifeguard

Description Duties and Responsiblities Maintain constant and active surveillance of the pool and surrounding areas Identify and respond quickly to unsafe conditions or behaviors Enforce facility rules and safety regulations Provide clear instructions to patrons when safety concerns arise Respond immediately and appropriately to aquatic emergencies Perform water rescues and administer first aid when needed Activate the Emergency Action Plan (EAP) when required Provide

CPR, AED

use, and first aid care as trained Complete incident and accident reports when necessary Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned Maintain cleanliness of the pool deck, surrounding areas, and equipment Assist with equipment inspections when assigned Ensure first aid supplies and safety equipment remain accessible Attend required lifeguard in-service trainings Participate in skill reviews and emergency response practice Maintain required certifications and training standards

Requirements Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Must possess Lifeguard/First Aid, CPR Professional Rescuer, and AED certification through the American Red Cross or a nationally recognized equivalent.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend. Ability to write using proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Ability to speak and communicate effectively using correct English.

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

General knowledge of office equipment, telephone, and customer service.
