Job Description

UniSea is seeking a seasonal Public Attendant to service the common areas of the Grand Aleutian Hotel. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall cleanliness of the common areas of the Grand Aleutian Hotel.
Essential Duties :
Clean public restrooms, including sweep, mop, disinfect, wash mirrors, walls, ash urns, toilets, urinals; restock supplies and empty trash. Clean lobbies, offices, retail and public areas to include dusting, vacuuming, mopping, emptying ashtrays, washing windows inside and out. Sweep/wash exterior hotel walks and decks, pick up grounds, empty trash. Clean employee area, locker rooms, basement hall and all stairwells. Clean carpets and hard floors include mopping, waxing, buffing and shampooing. Clean meeting rooms include vacuuming, shampooing, dusting and participating in set-up and breakdown of furnishings. Clean restaurants and lounges to include vacuuming, shampooing, dusting, disinfecting, and participating in set-up and break-down of furnishings.
Secondary Dutie s:
Clean guest rooms as assigned Drive shuttle as requested and necessary Miscellaneous duties as assigned
Position Requirements :
High school diploma or equivalent Six months to one year's housekeeping or janitorial experience is preferred. Must be able to stand for long periods with frequent bending and lifting. Good communication skills required. Must have to be able to obtain valid Alaska driver's license. This is a seasonal hourly non-exempt position with a rate of $18.07 per hour.
