We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Floor Tech/Housekeeper to join our Environmental Services team. Job Summary The Floor Tech/Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and sanitation of resident areas, common spaces, and facility floors. This position plays a key role in infection prevention and ensuring a safe environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Responsibilities Perform floor care duties, including stripping, waxing, buffing, polishing, and deep cleaning Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain cleanliness of hallways, resident rooms, and common areas Clean and disinfect surfaces, bathrooms, and high-touch areas Remove trash and biohazard waste following safety and facility guidelines Operate and maintain floor care equipment safely and effectively Restock housekeeping supplies and report inventory needs Assist with room turnovers and special cleaning projects Follow infection control, safety, and housekeeping protocols Provide courteous and respectful customer service to residents and staff Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly Qualifications Previous housekeeping or floor tech experience preferred (healthcare setting a plus) Understanding of proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures Ability to operate floor machines and cleaning equipment Strong attention to detail and time-management skills Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs and be on feet for extended periods Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
