Position Summary Under the immediate supervision of the Environmental Services Manager, performs a variety of housekeeping and infection control duties. May be assigned the maintenance and finishing of both hard and soft (carpeted) floor coverings along with regular housekeeping duties. Required Qualifications Must be at least18 years of age. Applicant must be a high school graduate or equivalent, as recognized by an approved government accreditation association, or have taken the

basic reading and math placement tests with a passing score. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel and the public. Ability to accurately follow instructions in the use of chemicals, equipment and cleaning procedures. Ability to read, understand and follow safety and regulatory guidelines when dealing with hazardous material, soiled linen and infectious wastes. Ability to effectively communicate in oral and written form. An understanding of computer systems, process design and data management. Must have a well-groomed, professional appearance. Must have the mental and physical ability to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, the essential functions of the job. Ability to lift, carry, pull, & push 50 pounds. Language proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal fluency. Preferred Qualifications Previous Meditech experience or other related electronic records systems.
