If so, YOU may be our new Full-time Housekeeping & Set Up Technician at Scottsdale Bible Church! We are called to love others and spread God's word and God has given us each a unique gifting to do so. You can use your gift at SBC to create a clean, welcoming, and safe environment for all those hungry to hear the word. As the Housekeeping & Set Up Technician , you are a vital part of the Team, responsible for carrying on the Vision, Mission and Values of SBC. In this role, you will report to Housekeeping & Set Up Manager and are responsible for tear-down, clean-up, reset, routine maintenance and minor maintenance/repairs of all classrooms, worship, and public areas at SBC. With dependence on Jesus Christ (John 15:5), all Team Members are expected to: Be a fully committed follower of Christ Live in accordance with the SBC Statement of Faith and Statement of Marriage and Sexuality Engage in ministry prayer and prayer with one another Serve together as "One Team" Attend Soul Care, Staff Lunch and other SBC training and team building
Your Essential Responsibilities:
In this position, you will: Complete tear-down and cleaning of all rooms, restrooms, and public areas Breakdown of all rooms/public areas as needed based upon current scheduling of activities and events Clean and sanitize classrooms prior to events Check, clean and replenish all bathrooms as necessary Debug lights in various buildings Take down cobwebs around buildings Clean inside and outside of outdoors trash cans Service vacuum cleaners Check for lights outside at night Assist service personnel as needed Report major repair and maintenance needs Other Responsibilities (Non-Essential): Related duties or special projects as assigned Skills you need to succeed:
Knowledge of:
Basic cleaning methods Basic cleaning equipment Demonstrated competency in: Customer focus Action-oriented Problem solving Relational skills, such as high value of people, aspires to serve others, foster a healthy and amiable spiritual environment, approachable and accessible, work collaboratively with others and in team environments, appreciation for own and other's giftedness Ability to: Work nights and weekends Perform physical labor necessary in cleaning and maintaining church facilities Walk up to 5 miles a day on hard flooring Stand for prolonged periods of time, as well as stooping, kneeling, crouching and reaching Minister to someone in a time of need until the appropriate Pastor or Minister can be located Be flexible Work in a multi-faceted environment with little supervision Discern needs and respond appropriately
