Pay:

$18.68+ $5.09H&W per hour This position is a temporary leave-coverage assignment anticipated to run from approximately May 18, 2026 through August 10, 2026, though assignment duration may change based on operational needs.

Description:

Responsible for keeping building in a clean and orderly condition. Performs heavy cleaning duties such as (not limited to) cleaning floors, washing walls, windows, or counters, and removing rubbish. Some duties may include performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of the need for repairs, and cleaning debris from buildings.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, or vacuuming. Gather and empty trash from all areas. Service, clean, and supply restrooms. Clean and polish furniture and fixtures. Clean windows, glass partitions and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees. Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment. (High and Low) Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to MSDS specifications. Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours. Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems. Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.

• All other janitorial related duties assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of six (6) months janitorial or maintenance experience.
• Must be able to pass preemployment background check.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be able to read and write English fluently.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 40lbs.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and lift arms over shoulders or head.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Mental Requirements:

• Ability to read and understand simple instructions relating to the field of expertise.
• Ability to properly speak and have command of the English language to properly explain or give instructions to staff.

Environmental Requirements:

• Ability to work in a hospital environment where there may be background noise for other personnel.
